A core component of the North Dakota Film & Arts festival is facilitating change through education and discussion. As part of that process, panel discussions focused on community-based human rights and social justice issues complete each evening of the film festival.
In 2017, the festival was honored to host Water Protectors for the first conversation in Fargo, North Dakota about the peaceful resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline.
