Chapter Two of Home: The Homelessness Crisis in North Dakota explores North Dakota’s “bootstrap” mentality, deadly winter weather systems, and the impact of the oil boom in the western half of the state.
The episode features the lived experience of Troy Pryor, and features homeless advocates from around the state, including Pastor Barb Becker, Glory of the Lord Ministries, Watford City; Kate Brovold, Austin’s Mission, Bismarck; Jenna Gullo, Missouri Slope Areawide United Way, Bismarck; Louis McLeod, Minot Area Homeless Coalition, Minot; and Sue Shriek, Northlands Rescue Mission, Grand Forks.
