Static Space wins 2022 FMLGBTFF Audience Choice Award

September 27, 2022

The audience has made their choice! The Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival is thrilled to announce our 2022 Audience Choice Award!

Congratulations to the narrative short, STATIC SPACE!

Directors John Klein and Kate Black-Spence skillfully crafted a story of a young woman living in rural Indiana struggling to figure out her place and identity. When she inadvertently stumbles across a frequency on her ham radio and makes contact with an astronaut currently orbiting Earth, the two women are presented with the opportunity to find meaningful connection, even while worlds apart.

This is the third year for the award. Established in 2020, the Audience Choice Award was designed to give a voice to in-person and online audiences to vote for their favorite narrative or documentary feature, or short film at the festival. STATIC SPACE (2022) joins previous recipients, A LOVE LETTER TO BLACK MALE FEMININITY (2021), and OUT LOUD (2020).

The Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival will return in September 2023.
